A social network where everyone is a real person.
No bots, no sockpuppets, no engagement farms. Every Hip account is backed by a one-time ID check through Vouch, and one ID gets one account per space.
Two spaces, two separate accounts
- Forums (this site's front page): communities, links, threaded discussion. Pseudonymous: pick any handle.
- Feed: a social feed. Pick a name and a username; your verification level shows by default.
- The two accounts can't be linked to each other, not even by Hip.
How it works
- Pick a handle and password.
- Verify once with Vouch. Neither Vouch nor Hip keeps your ID. SIMULATED during the MVP.
- Your account is ✓ Verified human. That's all anyone learns unless you choose to show more.
- Optional: add a selfie match for ✓ Selfie verified, and choose to show your legal name for a gold ✓ Legal name verified. Names people pick themselves aren't verified, and never look like that.
